Tara DeGeorges has 15 years of experience in corporate communications, with a focus on executive, employee and digital communications. Today, she is at PwC, where she leads the internal communications function and strategy for Senior Partner Tim Ryan. In this role, and in her former communications leadership roles at PwC, she has become known as a thoughtful leader, collaborative team member and trusted partner to the C-suite.
Prior to PwC, Tara worked in communications and digital media roles across finance (JPMorgan), telecommunications (Time Warner Cable/Spectrum), beauty (Clarins) and media (MTV Networks/Viacom). Through these experiences, she has honed a unique ability to design content and communications approaches that can influence a diverse set of stakeholders, from employees and board members, to clients and the media.
A former dancer and lifelong New Yorker, Tara sits on the board of Battery Dance, a New York City arts organization committed to building bridges through the power of dance. Through the COVID-19 pandemic, she worked with the Board’s marketing committee to help digitize the company’s gala and fundraising practices. More recently, she teamed with PwC’s in-house creative group to produce an original photo and video series at PwC’s studios to support marketing efforts for Battery Dance’s 2022 Festival.
Tara lives on the Upper West Side of Manhattan with her husband and two children. Around the edges of work, she spends time consuming teen TV shows, coffee, cheese and striped shirts.
